Jake Zech brings Gold back to Kansas City from the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu tournament

Jake Zech wins 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Tournament

Jake Zech and the Pack travelled up to Omaha to enter the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Tournament in house.   Jake took Gold winning his first match with an Anaconda choke, and winning the second match with a mounted Guillotine choke.  Jake’s packmate Billy Higgs took 3rd in the same bracket.  The tournament was of course a Submissions Only Tournament and even though it was an in house tournament, it was one of the best matched tournaments we’ve seen from the Submission Challenge.  There were great matches in all the brackets.

This was Zech’s second Jiu Jitsu tournament that he has entered.  Both trys have earned him 1st Place gold medals, and he has won all of his matches by submission.  In the Kansas City Jiu Jitsu tournament he landed a Gogo plata and another Anaconda Choke, to win first place there.  North Kansas City Jiu Jitsu Tournament can be found HERE.

October 18th marked the official 10th Anniversary date for Lone Wolf MMA and Fitness and we couldn’t have asked for a better day of watching such a great tournament, and having our wolves compete in the thing they love.  Congratulations to all the wolves that took all their training from their Kansas City MMA and Jiu Jitsu gym and applied it in one of the best formats possible.  Thanks to Derek Stewart and 10th Planet Omaha for all their love and hospitality, and to the Submission Challenge for another great, fun tournament.
